Ferris v. Henderson, 12 Pa. 49 (1849)

Thomas Ferris (plaintiff) against Samuel Henderson, Henderson’s wife, and others (defendants) regarding Ferris’s status as an enslaved person. Ferris was previously enslaved to Joseph Becket, but as he was not properly registered Ferris argued that he was free. Decision: decree reversed.
