Lessee of Hauer v. Shitz, 3 Yeates 205 (Pa. 1801)

The lessee of Elizabeth Hauer (plaintiff) against Peter Shitz (defendant) regarding an ejectment for land. Upon the death of Peter Shitz (senior, deceased), land was left to his children Francis, Peter Shitz, and Elizabeth. The lands were controlled by Francis (deceased), but as Elizabeth was a full-blood sibling to Francis while Peter Shitz (junior) was a half-blood sibling, it was debated who should inherit the land from Francis. Decision: judgement for defendant.
