Ferguson Twp. Poor Overseers v. Buffaloe Twp. Poor Overseers, 6 Serg. & Rawle 103 (Pa. 1820)

A case to determine which county may be responsible for the costs of removal of Tom and costs of the appeal. Tom was previously enslaved to James Jenkins of Buffaloe Township, and later John Patton in Furgeson Township, before returning as a free man to Buffaloe Township. Decision: order of the sessions quashed; order affirmed; costs refunded to Buffaloe Township.
