The Overseers of the Poor of Perth Amboy against the Overseers of the Poor of Piscataway regarding removal of James Bruen, a free Black man. James Bruen was formerly enslaved to Joseph Stille and later sold to Isaac Stille Jr. of Piscataway. James Bruen was then sold by Stille Jr. to Bruen of Perth Amboy. Decision: judgement and order reversed.
