Marchand v. Peggy, 2 Serg. & Rawle 18 (Pa. 1815)

Marchand (plaintiff) against Peggy (defendant), an enslaved woman. Peggy was enslaved to John Decamp and Nehemiah Stokely and claimed her freedom based on a 1780 act entitling all unregistered slaves to freedom in the state of Pennsylvania. Decision: judgement reversed
