Ann Maria Jackson and her Seven Children

To escape sale that would have split the family, a woman escaped with her 7 (remaining) children (two had already been sold away) from Maryland. The seven remaining children were Mary Ann, William Henry, Frances Sabrina, Wilhelmina, John Edwin, Ebenezer Thomas, and William Albert; illustration from “The Underground Railroad,” a book by William Still.
