Respublica against Mary Weed, jailer of Philadelphia County, regarding Robert, an enslaved man who was detained. Hilary Baker requested the detainment of Robert, who was enslaved to Anne Tharp, wife of William Tharp (deceased). Robert was a fugitive slave who had escaped Tharp, and he was not properly registered as an enslaved person. Decision: prisoner discharged.
